Sažetak
In 2016, Croatia experienced substantial changes on several political levels. At the year’s beginning, a new coalition government was formed, yet it lasted for only five months. The cabinet experienced severe decision-making paralysis due to the internal struggles between HDZ and MOST, while in parliament there were several instances of floor crossing and one major formation of a new political party from a splinter group. Early elections brought about a new government, yet was composed virtually of the same parties as the one that was voted down earlier in the year. Finally, both major parties elected new leaders.
