Sažetak
The paper concentrates on current urban problems of Split (Croatia). Its changed regional position, pollitical and economic context as well as problems that emerged from deindustrialization and new concept of land ownership are asking for new urban strategies. The lack of continuous urban planning and lack of clearly defined urban policy leads to urban chaos where priority is given primarily to private ownership and private interests led by unregulated market.
