Sažetak
AFive years after the first Croatian symposium on gambling, thet took place in town of Virovitica and which pointed at fenomenology of ganbling problem and treatment astablishment imperatives, we are organizing a second symposium with some results accomplished in the field of primary prevention, treatment and rehabilitation, and response organisation of lottery. Today we can say that a representatgive model of treatment exists, unfortunately, not as all as a comprehensive one, yet self-help groups with some valuable experts are showing the way and treatment possibilities with first posituive results. In that period after the first symposium the work of KLOK (clubs of treated gambling addicts) has outlived for almost five years now with six family therapy groups, including about hundred families participating in a process of rehabilitation. Participating in KLOK groups over fifty families have allready accomplished stable gambling abstinence with improvement of marital and family interpersonal relations and making significant progres both financialy and soccialy.Additional to the work of KLOK, there are active ambulances existing in University Hospital "Sestre milosrdnice" and University Psychistry Hospital "Vrapče2 in Zagreb, two therapy groups in Rijeka and actually atarting KLOK groups in Split. With existing therapy groups of gamblers, some addicts are included in therapy within clubs of treated alcoholics in Slavonski Brod, Osijek ant other smaller places.With its active work and expirience sharing KLOK contributed foundations of treatment systems in some of neighbour countries, in mOstar, Belgrade, Sofia and Bucurest for example. Futherly, we would like to mention with prode, that two large researcs studies on pathological gambling associated problems epidemiologic presence in Croatia have been completed, with more then a representative sample, by Faculty for Education and Rehabilitation and Institute "Ivo Pilar", which pointed at, unfortunately, great significance of that problem.In cooperatin with lottera providers, highlithingspecifibally Admiral and National Lottery, and within the system of responsible organisation of lottery, we conducted a series if conversations, , lectures, and consultations that consequently resulted with implementation of the responsible organisation into the work of major lottery providers. Understanding of cooperatin importance was shown also by Ministry of Finances and Ministry of Healt of Republic of Croatia, therefore, we can say that finally we gathered goog will from all important factors present in this field.Future imperatives are: improvement of cooperation among all relevant factors, high quality prevention programs implementation in cooperation with Ministry and Education, establishment of treatment on the levekls of country Centers for mental health and addiction desease, encouraging colleaguer psychiatrists, psychologists and other medical professionals in the instistutions related, to join the treatment of pathological gamblers and their families. In cooperation with Ministry of Helath, Ministry of Finance and lottery providers, financial resources for implementation of previosly mentioned programs with high quality and continuation shoul be provided.
