Sažetak
Towards the end of the 19th century versatile authors in the field of medicine sciences tried to determine different constitution types of the human body with anthropometric methods and using scientific methods. lt was relatively early found that the human body constitution changes in different ways during the human life ; children's age, adult age and old age specially mark each constitution. Besides, there are different rhythms in the organism: daily, monthly and yearly rhythms etc. which influence the whole body constitution and external factors (climatic, nutritionist, social etc.) have a long-term effect. It has been also found that in the course of life both the shape and function of the human organism change to a certain extent. The mentioned changes cause a gradual change in the size and shape of garments in the course of life of an individual person. lt means that garment engineers are entrusted with a complex task because the proportions of the children's organism change to a great extent from birth to adult age. The relative height of sitting position in relation to the total height of the human body constantly drops because at the beginning the extremities are proportionally short in contrast to torso and head. This is the reason why new calculation methods of construction measurements and graded data in conformity with the described changes of the human body constitution are necessary. It follows from above that individual constitution components change fast in the course of children's age, and definitive constitution types form only after the age of 20 years (biomorphose).
