Sažetak
For the purpose of this this study, electronic instrument (EED) was used for measuring the height of eletric potential of the gingiva, of the fresh amalgam fillings, before and after polishing. Four hundred (400( fillings in 187 patient were examined. The aim was to establish the quality of the subjective and objective discomfort as well as influence of prosthetic metals (gold, palador) in the oral cavity on voltage of the electric potential and on occurance of discomforts. The difference in potential between the fresh, polished and unpolished fillings was statistacally signifacant in all amalgams tested. Eletric potential of amalgam fillings decreases due to aging and polishing. Subjective discomforts were present in 1.2% of total number of cases and in 6.7% of the patients tested, having prosthetic metals in the mouth.
