Sažetak
Methods of determining normal times for machine-hand sub-operations of sewing straight and curved seams are described, based on systematic investigations and measurements performed in the course of performing machine-hand sewing sub-operations. Measurements are performed in the laboratory of the Department of Clothing Technology, Faculty of Textile Technology, University of Zagreb, Croatia, employing contemporary measuring equipment, while the operations of sewing articles of clothing are recorded under real in-plant conditions. Analysis of video-recordings yielded systems of basic movements, as well as the times needed for performing machine-hand sub-operations within the sewing operation structure. A 3D graphic representation of the functional correlation of the time for machine-hand sewing sub-operation and the number of stitches and nominal sewing machine speed is developed on the basis of the measuring results obtained, and a mathematical model of mutual dependence of the above parameters is defined. The application of the new methods enables normal times of machine-hand sewing operations for straight and curved seams to be determined, which is of importance for successful and efficient organisation of continuous material flow in the operation of sewing.
