Sažetak
: The EU Construction Products Regulation (CPR), which entered into force on 1 July 2013, sets the provisions for CE marking of building products. The objective of the Construction Products Regulation is to achieve the proper functioning of the internal market for construction products by establishing harmonised rules on how to express their performance. Technical specifications shall be based on the Seven Basic Requirements for construction works: mechanical resistance and stability, safety in case of fire, hygiene, health and the environment, safety and accessibility in use, protection against noise, energy economy and heat retention and sustainable use of natural resources. Not all CPR provisions are in practical use yet. Among them is the Sustainable use of natural resources in the design, construction and maintenance of structures. In this paper, the knowledge that is needed for discussion about the route for developing and implementing the 7th Basic Work Requirement in practice will be presented.
