Sažetak
Grapevine yellows is a term that is used for disease problems caused by different phytoplasmas. Today, it is one of the most important problems of the world grapevine production which is unfortunatelly also present in Croatia. Following the spreading of the disease, the identification of the pathogen, Bois Noir (stolbur) phytoplasma, by using modern and reliable methods (PCR, RFLP) was performed and the presence of other pathogens was eliminated. The grade of the infection was also determined, as well as the pathogen affinity towards Chardonnay and the cultivars of the Pinot group. These are the first steps in solving this dangerous problem in grapevine production through identification and putting a stop to spreading this pathogen.
