Sažetak
The paper deals with the comparison of three different models for the assessment of the electric field radiated by a base station antenna system: The antenna insulated in Free Space (FS), The antenna above Perfect Ground (PG) and the antenna above a lossy half space. The half-space is taken into account via modified Image Theory Method (MIT). The results obtained by three models are compared to the results computed via Numerical Electromagnetics Code (NEC). Several variables have been varied to examine the accuracy of a given approximation. The calculations have been undertaken for the far field only.
