The key-question, the author is dealing with, refers to the hypothesis that there were many Yugoslavism emerging out of each particular process of national integration and social modernization among South Slavs before 1918 and that all of them corresponded either to challenges of intra-national changes or inter-national changes within and outside South Slavic areas.
