Sažetak
Studies were conducted regarding the effect of sulfur content in linepipe steel on hydrogen embrittlement susceptibility. The specimens of high sulfur linepipe (0.021%S) and low sulfur linepipe (0.005%)were exposed to constant hydrogen flux through electrolyte charging under the potentiostatic conditions.Hydrogen absorbed caused the significant degradation of mechanical properties, more intensive stepwise cracks and considerable increase of residual stresses in high sulfur linepipe.
