Sažetak
To determine immunochemical activity of the lipopolysaccharide isolated from Salmonella typhi, strain 0-901, methods based on the agglutination of polymer latexes were applied. Immunochemical interactions with rabbit antibodies were detected by the photometric latex test and gel complement fixation. A special photometric method was developed for detection of immunochemical activity of the lipopolysaccharide in gel chromatography fractionation experiments. The inhibition of immunochemical activity by borate anions was studied, and the results were discussed in terms of the lipopolysaccharide structure.
