Sažetak
Structural optimization aspects of cruise ships has been reviewed and discussed through this paper. Multi-objective scantling optimization (with Weight & VCG as objectives) of post-Panamax cruise ship has been presented as an example. Structural design software MAESTRO and in-house developed, framework for the design support system DeMak – OCTOPUS Designer was used to generate a set of non-dominated designs. Two Pareto optimal designs marked as minWGT and minVCG have been compared and differences in structural response of both variants and prototype structure were discussed.
