Sažetak
Acoustic modeling of room using appropriate software on a personal computer allows us to determine the value of the acoustic quality parameters of that room. The calculation method is based on a building model that matches the actual state of the modeled room. In the designing process, the values of the acoustic quality parameters are determined in advance, always trying to get optimal values according to the purpose. The acoustic model can be used to predict the acoustics of the room itself, and to predict possible actions needed to improve the acoustic quality. On the other hand, the acoustic model can also be used as a basis for designing appropriate sound system for this space. Finally, the acoustic model can be used for process of auralization to give audio track that sounds like it was recorded and played in real conditions. To obtain the good acoustic model of the real space, it is recommended to measure real acoustic quality parameters. Then, by comparing the results obtained by measurement and simulation, determine to what extent the computer simulation fits the real conditions. The deviations must be as small as possible, although the fully and absolute match of all results can never be expected. In this paper, the acoustic model of the Croatian National Theater in Zagreb is presented, as well as the way how this model was obtained. Control measurements in the real space were made. The matching between real measured values and the results obtained in the acoustic model are confirming the accuracy of the computer acoustic model.
