Sažetak
As a European country, the Republic of Croatia has a number of geo-traffic predispositions for playing a more active role in Europe. Joining the European Union is a strategic priority of the Republic of Croatia. The success of the adaptation of the Croatian economy, and the Croatian traffic in particular to the European Union will greatly depend on the possibility of establishing industrial and traffic connections with the Union. This paper considers the importance of traffic corridors passing through the Republic of Croatia and the way in which they influence the development of Croatian economy, especially the development of the Adriatic ports. The prospects planned for the economic development of Croatia in the process of European integration, including the development of ports, present a new dimension whether speaking of transit traffic, tourist traffic or the process of lithorisation.
