Sažetak
Pyrolysis is a thermochemical process carried out in the absence of oxygen that yields with three different end-products – bio-oil, biochar and syngas. The properties of biochar greatly depend on the biomass type regarding to their chemical composition and the production conditions used to produce biochar. Therefore, the characterization and acquiring clear knowledge of agricultural biomass group chemical composition in the process of its conversion in to biochar is critical to understanding the reaction mechanisms of the charring processes, and it is important for the beneficial use of biochar products. Based on the above mentioned, the main objective of the present study was to determine the group chemical composition of different types of agricultural biomass, such as arable crop residues, bioenergy crops, pruning residues and agro-industrial waste, and to provide the most detailed database of agricultural biomass group chemical composition for biochar quantification and its properties.
