Sažetak
Proposed methodology for improvement of the shipbuilding process based on the implementation of modified technology concept is presented in this article. For selection of optimal design solution, the AHP multi criteria decision making method is suggested. Proposed methodology aims to improve productivity and considers combining the implementation of Design for Production, Design for Maintainability and Group Technology principles. Higher productivity and less cost during the ship production process are required to stay in line with international competitiveness of modern shipbuilding industry. The implementation of suggested methodology is conducted by following four phases. In the first phase the present situation analysis is suggested for the real shipyard by establishing the closest relations among production lines. The second phase presents constrains analysis that must be evaluated during establishing design solution. Within the third phase the generation of a representative number of selected alternatives of Design for Production, Design for Maintainability and Group Technology is suggested. In the fourth phase the optimal design solution is selected using AHP method. The solution selected using suggested methodology will reduce lack of production efficiency and increase productivity.
