Sažetak
Is the study of humanities as we know it coming to an end? What sense or relevance does the study of the humanities have today? In this paper, I explore the present state of the humanities and policy on the humanities in Europe and the US, and attempt to show how instrumentalisation of the humanities for socio-economic policy undermines the fundamental task the humanities still have to fulfill.
