Sažetak
Improving lifestyle, which was in ancient times depended on agriculture, on diet, on how to prevenr and mitigate disease, mainly provide data several writings of the then contemporary: historiographical works about the way of life in ancient Greece and Rome, then "De observatione ciborum ", De re coquinarius", "De medicamentis". The said works are very complex to study and the methodology of the historiography research, not only because of its content value than the writing method called, the so-called Vulgar Latin, which is very complex for transliteration and transcription of texts in these works. But they are important work the same as they werw actually initial stage of research and the fight for survival of the population by improving agriculture, food processing and preparation, mode of cooking and advice and bringing drugs against various diseases mostly natural ingredients. Besides a substantial part of the aformentioned ancient and medieval authors, who were engaged in improving agriculture, publishing recipes for cooking recipes use some plantsthat had medicinal properites so necessary for human health. Today, each of these activities substantially progressed in its general and scientific development, but on the basis of these historical sources and historiography, it is worth mentioning the first effort and the first results from the distant past and at that time people found out some possible solutions to improve the general living conditions of their communitiy.
