Sažetak
Refractive index increment, dn/dc, of the two samples of bovine plasma albumin in water and 0.05 M NaCI was determined by means of an interferometer and a differential refractometer. Contrary to a report in the literature, it was found that lin/de was constant, within the precision of the interferometer, even at the concentrations of the protein as low as about 8 X 10^-5 gm per milliliter. The values reported in the literature for various samples and a variety of conditions were collected and tabulated for comparison.
