Sažetak
Since InRoad addresses pertinent questions of research infrastructure projects as well as trying to provide the answer as to how to set up national roadmaps, this paper addresses a number of questions. First and foremost, funding from different institutional levels (both European and national) are discussed with special reference to the uses and misuses of structural funds. Special focus is placed on how to maximize benefits from structural funds for RIs. The second major point addressed is sustainability as a key issue already present, but one that will gain momentum in the not so distant future. And lastly, the ultimate challenge is addressed and that is how to achieve mutual synergies and a higher level of harmonization between RIs at national, regional and the European level.
