Sažetak
One of the main goals of a firm is effective management and decision process. The modern information technologies (IT) facilitate new ways to enabling better business decisions and thus improving management. Usage of IT and development of decision support systems, based on a data warehouse, have a key role in achieving maximal effects of the management and the decision process. Computer based information system is the presumption for developing data warehouse environment. In this paper are presented results about the information technology usage and the data warehouse concept in Slovenian and Croatian large companies.
