Sažetak
Self-employment is an important source of growth and job creation. Small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) make up 99% of companies in the EU and two thirds of total employment. Moreover, self-employment is crucial for nurturing entrepreneurship culture and innovativeness. The aim of the research is to identify, analyse and explain various factors influencing self-employed dynamics in Europe, especially during and after the great recession.
