Sažetak
Transition to an open market economy in Croatia has resulted in the country entering a period of continuous change. Most of the infrastructure necessary for an open market economy is missing. The author in this paper discuss development of the entrepreneurship and the evolution of Network Support System (NSS) as a mechanism for continuing development of small and medium sized enterprises (SME-s) in the region of Rijeka. Results of the research are based on literature reviews and on interviews made with key people of NSS.
