Sažetak
Nowadays numerous scientific evidence, published worldwide, propagates increasement of overall physical activity not only so individuals engage consequently in sports and become athletes but primarily in order for individuals to be healthy. Additionally, there is multitude of scientific evidence which supports the benefits of sports programmes on individual's overall psychophysical development. In RH as well as in EU, the educational system is set up in a way where PE classes are compulsory ; however, those classes do not conform to realistic needs of pupils due to the fact that school system standards have remained intact for decades already while the way of living has changed throughout that time period. The imbalance between these is evident in increased number of individuals’ sick days as well as in increased trend of various illnesses, the main cause behind these being physical inactivity. This research study will deal with modalities of educational system functioning in today’s society in RH and EU, starting from kindergarten to high education system. Additionally, this research study will imply weaknesses of the system and give recommendations and guidelines for improvements of not only the educational system, but of the overall life quality of society in general.
