Sažetak
Slagging problem severely impedes the utilization of biomass fuel. Ash fusion characteristics (AFC) of biomass have significant effect on slagging. Due to the complexity of biomass ash composition, simulated ashes have been widely used for AFC investigation. In this study, based on the basic ash composition of biomass , the mixture of SiO2, CaO, K2O and Al2O3 have been selected as simulated ashes for AFC test. Due to the relatively low content of Al, the mass fraction of Al2O3 is set as 0, 3% and 7%. The corresponding characteristic temperatures of adhesion have been acquired by picture processing and used for the ash fusion adhesion modelling. CFD modelling study of deposition on heating surface has been performed, which takes the inertial impaction and ash fusion into consideration. Compared with the actual slagging in some power plants, the modelling results can reflect a similar situation on the surface of tube.
