Sažetak
In 2001, research was carried out into future energy and electricity demand in the Republic of Croatia. This paper analyses the energy and electricity system development scenario, presuming the ratification of the Kyoto Protocol by the Croatian Parliament. The results are expressed as final energy demand. Attention was paid to the possibility of meeting electricity demand under the Kyoto Protocol restrictions, with special emphasis on the role of nuclear power plants under particular scenarios.
