Sažetak
This paper analyse the impact of institutional context on the political leadership of Croatian President Franjo Tuđman who hold this office from 1990 to 1999. As a President, Tuđman operated in the semi-presidential form of government which was established in Croatia in 1990. The paper will analyse the position of Tuđman in the established form of government and his role in the decision-making processes. It will analyse the role which institutional structure had in shaping his political actions and enabled him to bring up profound political changes he promoted
