Sažetak
Sub-pannonic steppic grassland in the village of Bistrinci is one of the last remnants of dry steppe grasslands of the alliance Festucion vallesiacae in Croatia. According to Ordinance on Ecological Network it is included under the code HR2000730 in the list of protected areas important for species and habitat types in Croatia. The research of the grassland flora was conducted in summer 2017. A total of 122 vascular plant taxa from 42 families were recorded. The highest number of taxa belonged to the families Fabaceae (19 taxa), Rosaceae (13 taxa), Poaceae (11 taxa) and Asteraceae (10 taxa). Life form spectrum analysis showed that hemicryptophytes were dominant (53 taxa), followed by therophytes (22 tax) and geophytes (16 taxa). Among the identified taxa, 26 are protected, while one species, Dichanthium ischaemum (L.) Roberty, is strictly protected. Analysis of the ecological conditions showed that the greatest number of plant taxa are shade-tolerant preferring relatively warm soil, moderately rich in nitrogen. Altogether, the high number of plant taxa as well as the presence of many threatened plant species of Croatian flora, indicates that the preservation of this rare and unique habitat is of great importance.
