Sažetak
A survey on a representative sample of the general adult population in Croatia, conducted in 2016, examined preferences for certain types of tourist destinations: mainland, coast, islands or abroad depending on their location. In addition, data on the status, objective (such as socio-demographic, residential, economic, etc.), as well as subjective (lifestyles) were collected, which enabled the development of a comparative profile of visitors by type of location. In this context, the actual (“objective” and “subjective”) structure of domestic "emissive markets" of islands is identified, and this structure, by type and loyalty, is compared with the markets of other types of locations.
