Sažetak
In this paper, the results of the experimental testing of small scale circular stone columns are presented. Herein, the type of horizontal joints between the blocks (dry, stone powder, mortar), the depth of the horizontal joints (stone powder, mortar), the height of the blocks and the type of the load (vertical only, both vertical and horizontal) are varied. The loads are successive increased until the failure or the lose of stability of the stone columns. The displacements and the strains of the columns at the characteristic points are measured for all load levels. The main conclusions of the performed research are presented, where the effects of type and depth of horizontal joints between the stone blocks on the limit bearing capacity of the stone columns is accentuated.
