Sažetak
This paper presents the changes that biometrics methods and belonging technology have brought in the process of identification, autentication and authorization.Biometric methods are based on individuals' unique physical or behavioural characteristic. They can't be borrowed, stolen or forgotten as passwords or other identification devices can be. Their forging is practically impossible. Therefore, biometric methods provide a very high level of security. Users accept it speicially if they are not too intrusive. Biometrics' products become more and more sophisticate; their price and costs of implementation are continually decreased. Biometric technologies should be used for phisical access control, account acces control, Web access control and specially e-commerce application access control. Unfortunately, the usage of biometrics technologies hardly starts in Croatia !
