Sažetak
The Acts of the SAlonitan councils held in 530 and 533 have a special place among early Christian literary sources in general. The Acts contain information of a division of the Salonitan bishopric and also give account about proposed division of the bishopric of Bistue.The mentioned new seats are very rare examples of the existence of bishoprics in the small settlements during the peaceful periods recorded in the early Christian literary sources. So the paper discusses the reasons for the new bishopric foundations in Dalmatia.
