Sažetak
This paper presents a meshless Lagrangian method, which was established for the purpose of numerical simulation and estimation of hydrodynamic loads during fluid-structure impacts, i.e. water entry of a rigid body. Unsteady incompressible fluid flow solver is based on pressure Poisson equation (PPE) reformulation of Navier-Stokes equations in strong form. The Poisson equation is described with the novel meshless discrete Laplacian, derived from Taylor series with least-squares. The solver is implemented using GPU and CPU parallel algorithms, and the simulation geometry is setup without the requirement for the volumetric mesh generation. The validation tests that were simulated are water entries of a wedge-shaped section in deep and shallow water, and numerically obtained results during the water entry were compared with the experimental data from the literature. A good agreement was found, i.e. the pressure and velocity fields during the water entry were well-reproduced.
