Sažetak
This paper first presents EuVECA, EuSEF and ELTIF funds and the main objectives of the Regulations: improving access to finance for SMEs, supporting the growth of social businesses, increasing the means for long-term financing across the EU. It is then placing these funds within the existing regulatory framework and analyzing the rationale for creating a specific and parallel regulation at the EU level. The main features of the Regulations are also presented. The next section analyses publicly available data on the EuVECA and EuSEF funds. To conclude, the paper lists the reasons for the mediocre results of the Regulations so far and projects the development of these EU investment fund labels in the years to come.
