Sažetak
The paper investigates the influence of functional dependance of temperature and the time of carbonizing with the occurrence of fissures on flank teeth of helical gear. Taking into account the occurrence of crackings on driving and driven gears, mechanical and metalographic properties of gear material (steel 15 CrNi 6 according to DIN 17210) have been examined. Thereby it was established that the cause for occurrence of crackings lies in the increased impurities and non-homogeneity of steel structure.
