Sažetak
The study will focus on women's fashion as results of the cultural environment and trades that market Dalmatian territory at the end of the 18th century. Western fashion influences (from London and Paris) become a visual code for social statues. Among them also existed typical Dalmatian clothing item that from today point of you could open the question of Croatian identity in the end of 18th century. The focus of consumption become fashion market that was most dynamic in major ports of Dalmatia. Thanks to archival record, testaments merchant lists and private letters, we can recognize how much important was fashion role in Dalmatian community.
