Presentation deals with conceptual frameworks of ˝social memory˝ and sets following research questions: • Which elements are of the crucial importance for the process of remembering in our national and local context? • Where can we trace possible misuses of memory for ideological and dehumanizing proposes? • Which effects caused by politics of memory can we trace within our local, regional, national and global context? • Whose narratives are promoted, valued and turned into heritage and why? • What methods are used to marginalize, exclude and erase certain groups and their memories?
