Sažetak
From their beginning, people have always been prone to hiding something. Nowadays, the need for sending hidden messages has become the matter of pride and elite knowledge of managing how to send something to someone right in front of the eyes of others without others knowing about the communication. It opens a complete new perspective of the world, parallel to the existing one, where hidden messages create the world of their own. Steganography is one of the subdiscipline in the information hiding techniques. While cryptography is about protecting the content of messages, steganography is about concealing message existence in the image. In this paper the new steganography method based on the local colour statistics for edge definition in image is proposed. By defining the edges in the image, a secret map where to put the message that should not be seen is created. Differentiating the quality and thickness of the edges in the image the key to secret message can be manipulated, and not that easily cracked.
