Sažetak
The excavations at Pupićina Cave show that during the Mesolithic the cave functioned as a special purpose site; one of the activities seems to have been feasting, as documented by faunal analysis. For later prehistory, where the faunal data are slimmer, ceramic analysis provides another perspective on hte changing sumptuary activities as practiced at the cave. In this paper we look at the Middle Neolithic, and compare it to the Mesolithic and the Bronze Age. Our data indicate an intensification and elaboration of sumptuary codes that parallel other socioeconomic changes over time.
