Sažetak
This paper analyses the relationship between intellectuals and the Yugoslav communist leader Josip Broz Tito during his 35 years long totalitarian rule. Intellectuals are important in the shaping of ideologies and their attitude toward the political leaders is a serious segment of the legitimacy of each regime. In socialist Yugoslavia, intellectuals have also played a significant role in preparing the society to accept the new system.
