Sažetak
The main objective of this paper is to outline the environmental evolution of climate and anthropogenic influence in the Novigradsko more and Zrmanja catchments in the central part of eastern Adriatic coast where the Mediterranean and mountainous climates of Dinaric karst meet causing a harsh environment with bora winds (up to 170 km/h) extending back throughout the Holocene. Changes in well-defined neighboring karst catchments are determined using a multi-proxy approach (chemical analysis, grain size, magnetic susceptibility, L*a*b* spectrum, C/N analysis, bulk XRD analysis). Sediments were dated using 14C.
