Sažetak
Four newly isolated fungi (Trametes versicolor, Trametes gibbosa, Ganoderma lucidum and Ganoderma resinaceum) were tested for their ability to decolourise five structurally different synthetic dyes, namely Congo red (CR), Crystal violet (CV), Methylene blue (MB), Malachite green (MG) and Fuchsin (F). Prior to decolourisation tests, the visual recognition of laccase production by all tested fungi was confirmed by qualitative screening for laccase using agar plate method with following indicators: ABTS, guaicol and bromophenol blue. Furthermore, the lignin activity qualitative test confirmed the activity of lignin modifying enzymes for all tested fungi. Decolourisation tests were conducted at 27 °C for 28 days on PDA plates containing dyes at final concentrations of 10, 30, 50, 100 and 150 mg L- 1. All fungi were able to partially decolourise the tested dyes, except for G. resinaceum that did not decolourise MG. However, only T. versicolor completely decolourised all the dyes at all the applied concentrations. The influence of dye concentration on fungal growth was statistically significant for CV and MG, while for other dyes concentration dependent growth retardation was evident mostly during the first cultivation week. Considering the obtained results the new T. versicolor isolate seems promising for further bioremediation research.
