Sažetak
The issue of the agricultural taxation method as one of fiscal guidelines of the Republic of Croatia is closely related to the agricultural development and adjusting to the European Union trends. Globalization and the technological revolution, which increasingly focus industrial on profit, have major impact on the current development trends. However, the policy of the European Union points to the need to change the priorities in the direction of balanced development of rural communities, sustainable management of natural resources and maintaining employment. Although the Republic of Croatia is trying to meet these objectives by various fiscal policy measures and encourage the development of rural areas, it seems that the issue of environmental protection and ecological sustainability of agriculture an idea that is in terms of implementation in the area of the Republic of Croatia still in its infancy.
