Sažetak
New computer-controlled equipment for measuring all the parameters concerning electric energy consumption on sewing machines is presented for the first time. The equipment consists of a three-phase device for measuring power and energy consumed, three digital watt-meters, three current and voltage measuring transformers, an A/D converter and a personal computer. Together with the hardware part, a software package is also presented intended for synchronisation and measurements, as well as for the analytical data processing. The second part of the paper gives a review of the first results obtained by measuring energy characteristics of sewing machines. The importance of introducing the new measuring system described is confirmed as simultaneity coefficient is found to be lower than the empirical results showed before, while a strong correlation is established between the amount of energy consumed and the method of sewing applied, as well as the nominal sewing machine rotation speed.
