Sažetak
The Article 19 of the Regulation (EU) No 1143/2014 on the prevention and management of the introduction and spread of invasive alien specie s (EU IAS regulation) states that for the invasive alien species listed on the list of species of Union concern Member States will develop effective management measures. These effective management measures will have to be established so that the impact of listed species on biodiversity, ecosystem services and/or human health and economy is minimized. While management options will vary across Member states, ecosystem type, population characteristics and local climate conditions, it is of paramount importance to define general and measurable baselines to what ‘effective management’ should represent and develop general guidelines on how to define optimal management scenario. The aim of this presentation is to discuss these issues, focusing on listed invasive cr ayfish species, which represent 14% of all listed species.
