Sažetak
Over the past decades many transformer models have been introduced to represent transformer behaviour at high frequencies, which occur during fast transients produced by lightning strikes or switching of vacuum circuit breakers [1]. Usage of these models is required due to the resonances which may occur inside a transformer energized with a high frequency overvoltage wave, caused by its complex design. This paper provides an overview of transformer modelling for fast front and very fast front transients based on the authors’ experience. Models are classified into four different categories, in accordance with the data they require for their construction and application [2]: simplified models, Black Box models, White Box models and Grey Box models.
