Sažetak
This keynote address presents the Cognitive Orientation to Occupational Performance (CO-OP) program, an cognitively-oriented intervention approach for addressing the difficulties experienced by children with developmental coordination disorder. Through a presentation of the theoretical and empirical foundations of the approach, it will provide a brief introduction to the structure and methods used during intervention to facilitate the use of cognitive strategies during motor skill acquisition. Recent evidence in support of the CO-OP approach is also reviewed.
