Sažetak
Repair of inguinal hernia is one of the most common general surgical operation. Tension free hernioplastica is a state of art. We compare the two methods of tension free hernioplastica with polypropylene mesh. We performed open procedure in 120 patients and TEP procedure in 150 patients. Lichtenstein: patients 120, hernia 144, bilateral 24, reccurent 12, TEP: patients 150, hernia 172, bilateral 18, recurrent 15. The most common postoperative complication in hematom in both group. We had one late infaction after TEP. The recurrence rates are 0, 2% and 0, 3%. TEp has longer operation time and is expensive, but causes less postoperative pain and permite earlier return to normal activities.
