Sažetak
The structure and regulation of the financial sector play important roles in national economy and economic growth. During the 1990's, Croatia has made a progress in developing modern financial sector. Croatia has reformed old socialist bank oriented financial system. This is the reason why financial sector reform is mainly concerned with banking industry sector. Contemporary globalization and integration movement impose the necessity (imperative) for restructuring of the underdeveloped Croatian financial sector. Operational goal od this paper is to point out the importance of developing and restructuring of financial sector in the context of gobalization by analyzing the Croatian financial sector. Conclusion reached in this paper indicates that there are measures that can be utilized to encourage behaviour that enchances eonomic performance.
